Monday Morning Musings - The HUGE Announcement!!!!

Yes, the blog posting is later than usual.  Please forgive me, but I didn't have time to write this weekend.  We were busy!  Let me explain...

A little over 5 days ago our lives began to turn UPSIDE DOWN!  Prayers we answered in a HUGE way!  We knew that our time in El Paso, TX was short, but we had no idea how short.   Hubby's job would be ending the end of March and we were still hoping for a job to come through before we'd have to be unemployed. 

Those prayers were answered on Wednesday of last week, but what an answer we got!  At first we weren't sure we'd be able to afford this kind of move.  The first answer was filled with disappointment, as we really didn't have the money to move everything we own, that far of distance.  It took a "thinking outside of the box" approach to find the true answer.  

So...where are we going?  ALASKA!  Still isn't real to me, but I know it will be when we reach the end of this journey.  This is the largest journey Hubby and I have ever made, when it comes to moving.  We have a full house of furniture to liquidate, a household to pare down, and 3 weeks to do it all int!

From Wyoming to Missouri, from Missouri to Texas and now from Texas to Alaska!

What does this mean for you my readers?  Well it means that writing will be sporadic and sparse for the next couple of months.  I ask that you please be patient and hang with me.  It also means that things will take a few new turns as we settle into our  new surroundings. 

I am so excited for this adventure and can't wait to begin the journey!  Who's with me!  I have hopes of posting photos and writing as we travel from here to Washington.  In Washington, we'll be boarding a ferry for a three day trip.  Then there will be a snow filled drive to the final destination of Delta Junction/Ft. Greely, Alaska.  Stick around for the journey!
